The Bachelor Degree with Licensing for Teaching in Dance in the modality Long-Distance Education, offered by the Dance School of UFBA in partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB). It is a full degree course with a focus on Basic Education, among other dance training, which proposes to train the dance teacher capable of understanding the different eductional contexts, with a broad vision of the socio-cultural reality in local and global contexts, aiming at the pedagogical development of dance.
The course is free of charge and lasts 04 (four) years with admission through SISU/ENEM. The course does not require specific dance skill testing, however it is expected that candidates will have previous experience with dance as, once graduated, the student will start teaching in formal and non-formal learning spaces.
The Long-Distance course also includes some face-to-face meetings. Students must attend the three face-to-face meetings that take place every semester.
